Hospital Stay

Dr Roberts books patients to deliver at Burnside, Calvary and Ashford Hospitals. All these hospitals have modern facilities, dedicated maternity units and neonatal nurseries. For significantly premature babies or in situations where neonatal intensive care may be required, he also admits to The Women’s & Children’s Hospital. All these hospitals are accredited to manage all aspects of usual pregnancy, delivery and postnatal care including fetal monitoring with remote access, contingency for anaesthetic services including epidurals and Caesarean section facilities 24 hours a day.

Hospitals also provide antenatal and postnatal education services, lactation consultants and breastfeeding support.

Paediatricians are also affiliated with all hospitals to provide care for your baby after birth.

The average length of stay is 4 days following vaginal birth and 5 days following Caesarean.
